Heeeeeey everyone!
I have a few things to cover in this weekly news.
We now have our workstation set up here at the shop. If you need help with your model or need specialty tools to complete your project you are free to come down and use what we have available. We have dremels, power sanders, saws, MAGNIFYING glasses, high power lighting, tons of other non-power tools and a large work space.
We also have the tools to make up servo extensions of any length. Need a 1 inch extension? No problem. How about 15 feet? [Not sure what you'd use that for but] we can do that too! Just stop in and let us know what you're looking for and we will accommodate you.
We now have a pre-order sale going on the 350QX2 AP Combo (yes the newest version). Normally $899.99+tax if you pre-order and pre-pay this week we will take an entire $100 off!! That's only $799.99 for the highest performing ready-to-fly quadcopter with a camera and gimbal.
Flakes you ask? Yep. We had snow flakes last week. That marks the official start of the indoor flying season (obviously we got started early). If you haven't joined us at the Mexico Elementary yet and would like information please see the Indoor Flying thread in this forum or go to www.mexairrc.com and click on the indoor flying tab. Directions and requirements are listed there. Please keep in mind AMA insurance is a must. You will not be allowed to fly without it - no exceptions. It is available right on the spot and it will take effect immediately upon purchase.
We still need a camera man! I need decent pictures to post here and on www.mexairrc.com. If you have a camera and would like to volunteer a few minutes on a Thursday night to take pictures I will give you a free pass to fly the next night you return.
Indoor Games:
Looking for new ideas on games and events to be held during our indoor flying hours. A few ideas have already been tossed around and we would like to pursue them but, if you have any cool ideas feel free to post them here.
Some that have been discussed:
Moving Carrier landings - Basically a foam replica of an aircraft carrier that moves freely by itself around the room. We try to land on it.
Quadcopter Soccer - Two goals, 2 teams of 2 quadcopters. Small beach ball. Try to blow the beach ball into the other teams goal.
Indoor pylon racing - self-explanatory.
Obstacle course - Cardboard cutouts and hula hoops to fly through.
If you have any suggestions let us know!
The gift-giving holidays are approaching fast. Less than a couple months away, make sure to place your special orders soon to avoid stock-outs. Just call or stop in!
Well that's all for now. I will be posting the new coupon later today.
Have a great week!
Josh
